Locate the EPROM. It is located under the removable white retainer on the bottom side of the upper board. Remove the white retainer. Lift the
EPROM from the socket straight up with equal pressure.

Install the new EPROM carefully with the notch in the EPROM matching the notch in the socket. Use extreme caution not to bend the pins of the
EPROM. Reinstall the white retainer.

Reposition the upper board into the connector and snap the tabs into place. Then place the plastic sheet over the top board and then the cover over
the base. Turn the ECM upside down and bend the ten tabs down to fasten the base to the cover. Reinstall the retaining pin.
9.
Reinstall the ECM into the vehicle.
