Grip the ECM from the back side and, using your thumb against the base, pop the two boards apart.

Place a screwdriver under the upper board tabs as shown. Pry up one side at a time until the upper board is removable from the connector. Pull the
upper board rearward until the pins clear the connector and tilt the board up and back to remove the EPROM.

Locate the EPROM. It is located under the removable white retainer on the bottom side of the upper board. Remove the white retainer. Lift the
EPROM from the socket straight up with equal pressure.

Install the new EPROM carefully with the notch in the EPROM matching the notch in the socket. Use extreme caution not to bend the pins of the
EPROM. Reinstall the white retainer.
