Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair
With ABS
BLEEDING
This procedure should be used to insure adequate bleeding and filling of the ABS unit, brake lines, master cylinder and calipers.
1. After work has been completed on the ABS system, check all brake lines for correct attachment and no leaks. Bleed the normal brake circuit with
the standard procedure.

2. Plug in the MUT. The connector is located under dash near the fuse box.
3. Turn key to on position but do not start the engine. MUT should now be "ON".
4. Follow each of the steps listed for each bleed screw in the order shown:
a. Put a clear plastic bleeder tube on the screw to be bled.
b. Apply light and constant pressure to the brake pedal.
c. Use the MUT to actuate the appropriate valves as follows. As the valve cycles, fluid and/or air will emerge from the bleed screw and the brake
pedal will fall slightly.
