Brake Pad: Service and Repair

Front

1.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel/tire assembly.

2.

Remove two attaching bolts from torque plate, Fig. 2.

3.

Remove brake cylinder, then position aside using suitable wire.

4.

Remove brake pads.

5.

Install pads clips, then the pads onto each clip.

6.

Press piston into cylinder using suitable tool.

7.

Lower and insert brake cylinder. Tighten bolts to specifications.

1.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel/tire assembly.

2.

Remove the trailing shoe key to anchor plate retaining screw, Fig. 3.
