Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection

    On 1989 Excel models, the cooling fan relay is located on the righthand side of the front shroud, next to the cooling fan. On 1990-92 Excel & Scoupe
models, the cooling fan relay is located under the left side of the instrument panel, left of the steering column. On Elantra and Sonata models, the cooling
fan relay is located in the fuse/relay center in engine compartment.

Using a volt-ohm meter, ensure there is no continuity between terminals ``L'' and ``B,'' Fig. 1.

2.

Apply 12 volts across terminals S1 and S2, then check for continuity between terminals ``L'' and ``B.'' Replace as necessary.
