Tachometer Hook-up
NOTE: Insert a paper clip, from the harness side, into the connector between the primary side of the ignition coil and the noise filter. Connect the
tachometer to the paper clip.

Turn the ignition switch to ON (do not start the engine) and check that the TPS output voltage is within specifications.
TPS OUTPUT:
0.48 - 0.52V

If the output is not within specification, loosen both the TPS mounting bolts and adjust by turning the TPS. Tighten the bolts securely after
adjustment.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Start the engine and check to be sure that the idle speed is correct.
CURB IDLE: 700 ± 100rpm

Turn OFF the ignition switch and disconnect the battery terminal for 15 seconds or more and then reconnect. (This erases the data stored in ECU
memory during the TPS adjustment).
