MANUAL DRIVER'S SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTER PIVOT LUBRICATION PROCEDURE
DESCRIPTION:
Some 2006-2009 Sonata vehicles equipped with a manual driver's seat may exhibit an intermittent squeak/creak sound from the seat cushion area while
driving over bumps.
This bulletin provides a service procedure to lubricate the manual driver's seat height adjuster linkage to correct the condition.

TOOLS & MATERIALS REQUIRED:

# 2 Phillips screwdriver, 14mm socket, medium-length socket extension, and suitable racheting socket wrench.
^
Several clean shop rags and absorbent mat.
^
Aerosol-type lubricant fortified with Teflon(R) / PTFE.
NOTE:
Be sure to use the proper type of lubricant that is designed for continued lubricating action of metal hinge-type parts. Once applied, the lubricant
should not drip away or completely dry out. Due to these requirements, thin high-solvent type products are not recommended. In addition, the
product should not have an unpleasant odor and shall not easily stain the vehicle interior. Test any products away from the vehicle prior to use and
follow the usage directions provided by the lubricant manufacturer. (Refer to the recommended lubricant products.)
