When the ignition key is turned to the ON or START position, the passenger seat belt reminder light will blink for 6 seconds (with or without an
occupant present).

With an occupant in the front passenger seat and the seat belt unfastened, if the vehicle is not moving or the vehicle speed is under 6.0 MPH (10
km/h), the blinking light will not repeat.

If the seat belt remains unfastened and the vehicle speed is above 6.0 MPH (10 km/h), the seat belt reminder light will blink continuously for an
additional 300 seconds.
