10. Remove the cable clip.
11. Disconnect the cable end from the trailing shoe.
12. Drive out the parking brake cable to the under body side.
INSPECTION
1. Check the parking brake switch operation.
2. Check the parking brake lever ratchet for wear.
3. Check the parking brake cable for fraying or damage.
INSTALLATION
1. Check the parking brake cables for an identification mark and install as appropriate on the left and right sides.
2. Set the adjust lever all the way back when installing the shoe-to-shoe spring.
3. Install the grommets in the direction shown in the illustration.
