a. Insert bearing cap No. 1 so that the notch on the end of the shaft faces in the direction shown in the illustration. Insert the mounting bolt.
b. Since bearing caps No. 1 and No. 4 look alike, check for the correct number stamped on the cap.
c. Check that the oil groove faces downward as shown in the illustration, and that the oil port is located on the rocker shaft (A) side.
d. Since bearing caps No. 2 and No. 3 look alike, check for the proper number stamped on the cap. Then, attach the caps.
e. Apply engine oil on the inside diameter area of the rocker arm and attach the rocker shaft.

Tighten rocker arm and shaft assembly bolts to 19-21 Nm (190-210 kg. cm, 14-15 ft. lbs.).
