Sonata GL V6-3.0L (1997)
4. Loosen the shock absorber bolt.
5. Support the crossmember with a transmission jack.
6. Loosen the opposite side of crossmember mounting nut but do not remove it.
7. Remove the crossmember mounting nut.
8. While lowering the upper arm, remove the shock absorber.
9. Before removing the piston rod tightening nut, compress the coil spring using the Special Tool (09546-11000).
CAUTION: Do not use an air tool to tighten the bolt of the special tool.
10. While holding the piston rod, remove the piston rod tightening nut.
INSPECTION
1. Check the rubber parts for damage.
