Tighten the 12 mm nut.
5.
Confirm the key can be removed when the shift lever is moved to the "Park" position.
NOTE:
If the key cannot be removed, refer to the shop manual as shown. Repair or replace the key lock cable or ignition switch.
SHIFT LOCK CABLE ADJUSTMENT:
1.
Turn the ignition key to the "On" position.
2.
Depress the brake pedal.
3.
Measure the clearance between the park lock cam and key lock cam. If the clearance is not 2-4 mm (0.08-0.16 inch), go to step 4.

Loosen the 12 mm nut securing the shift interlock cable.
5.
Move the shift lock cable mount until the clearance between the park lock cam and key lock cam is 2-4 mm (0.08-0.16 inch).
6.
Tighten the 12 mm nut.
7.
Confirm the shift lever can be moved from the "Park" position when the ignition key is turned to the "On" position and the brake pedal is
depressed.
NOTE:
If the shift lever cannot be moved from the park position, refer to the shop manual as shown. Repair or replace the shift lock cable and shifter lever
assembly.
