Transaxle Mounting

Manual Transaxle

REMOVAL

1. Attach an engine hoist to the engine hooks, and raise the engine just enough so that there is no pressure on the insulators.

2. Remove the select control.
3. Remove the transaxle mount bolts.

4. Detach the caps from inside the fender shield, then remove the transaxle mount to body bolts.
5. Remove the transaxle mount.

INSTALLATION

Installation is the reverse of removal, tighten as follows:
a. Transaxle mount insulator nut 90-110 Nm (900-1100 kg. cm, 65-80 ft. lbs.).
b. Transaxle insulator bracket to side member bolts 30-40 Nm (300-40O kg. cm, 22-29 ft. lbs.).
