Tiburon L4-1.8L (1997)
CAUTION: Do not use an air tool to tighten the bolt of the special tool.
1. Before removing the piston rod tightening nut, compress the coil spring using the Special Service Tool (SST).
2. While holding the piston rod, remove the piston rod tightening nut.
3. After removing the strut assembly inspect for the following.

Check the rubber parts for damage.

Check the coil springs for damage or deterioration.
Assembly
PROCEDURE
1. Compress the coil spring using the Special Service Tool (SST) and insert it in the rear strut.
