Clutch: Service and Repair
Front Clutch
DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove snap ring from clutch retainer.
2. Take out three clutch reaction plates and two clutch discs. If the clutch reaction plates and the clutch discs are to be reused, be sure not to change
the installation order or direction.
3. With return spring compressed with special tool (09453 - 21000, 09453 - 24000) or equivalents, spring compressor, remove snap ring, then spring
retainer and return spring.
4. Remove piston from retainer.
5. Remove the D-section rings from the inner and outer circumferences of the piston.
