11. Remove the parking cable retaining ring in the rear of the backing plate.
12. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly and roll up the carpet.
13. Loosen the parking brake cable clamp and remove the parking brake cable assembly.
INSPECTION
1. Check the parking brake switch operation.
2. Check the parking brake lever ratchet for wear.
3. Check the parking brake cable for fraying or damage.
INSTALLATION
1. Check the parking brake cables for left and right identification marks and install accordingly.
2. Move the adjuster lever all the way back when installing the shoe-to-shoe spring.
