CAMPAIGN 046 - 1997-2001 TIBURON SEAT BELT D-RING GUIDE STOPPER
DESCRIPTION:
The driver and front passenger seat belts may not extend and retract smoothly through the D-ring guides mounted on the B-pillars, and therefor, may
twist in the D-ring guides. This bulletin describes installation of a D-ring guide "stopper" mounted over each front seat belt D-ring guide which assists
the seat belt to smoothly extend and retract. There have been two types of seat belts installed on the Tiburon: The Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR)
installed on 1997 - 99 Tiburon's, and the Pretensioner (P/T) installed on 2000 - 01 Tiburon's. The adjustable height anchor buttons on the ELR type seat
belts must be replaced before the stopper is installed. The necessary parts to reverse the adjustable height anchor buttons are included in the ELR kit.

RECOMMENDED TOOLS:
1.
14 mm Socket
2.
Socket Wrench (fits Socket)
3.
Torque Wrench (fits Socket) set at 30 to 40 lb.ft.
4.
Small flat screwdriver or flat trim tool.
5.
5 mm drill bit and drill motor.
6.
Drill stop (or length of fuel hose cut about 2" shorter than the drill bit).
7.
Rivet tool (Snap On # HPS202, Emhart Pop Powerlink 30, or equivalent).
8.
# 2 Phillips Screwdriver
