3. Align the edged of the coil spring to the position of the rear strut spring seat as shown.
NOTE: When replacing a coil spring, be sure to use a spring having the appropriate identification mark.
4. Assemble the insulator assembly to the piston rod, fitting the notch in the rod to the D-shaped hole in spring seat.
5. Fully install the new self-locking nut but do not tighten it.
6. With the position of the bracket assembly as shown in the illustration, remove the special tool.
7. While holding the insulator assembly tighten the nut to the specified torque.
