DESCRIPTION:
Diagnostic Trouble Code P1709 (Kickdown servo switch open/short) may be caused by the following conditions:

Open or short circuit in the kickdown servo switch
^
Binding or seizing of the kickdown servo in the servo bore
To service a vehicle with DTC P1709, follow the repair procedure shown below:
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Remove the air cleaner.
2.
Locate the connector to the kickdown servo switch located on the driver's side transaxle mount.
