DESCRIPTION:
Some 1996-2000 MY Elantra and 1997-2001 MY Tiburon vehicles with automatic transaxles may experience an oil leak at the oil pan due to a broken
gasket.
If a vehicle is being serviced for an oil leak at the oil pan gasket, follow the repair procedure shown.

Service Procedure
1.
Raise the vehicle and remove the engine under cover.
2.
Remove the oil drain plug and drain the automatic transaxle oil.
3.
Remove the oil pan.
