**Smart Key equipped vehicles DO NOT have a steering column lock feature with the exception of 2009 Genesis sedans and Veracruz LTD models
built before April 2009.

Veracruz LTD models may be equipped with MSCL (Mechanical Steering Column Lock) as noted above. The 2009 BH Genesis models use ESCL
(Electronic Steering Column Lock) feature to lock the steering wheel.

For reference, the MSCL and ESCL Systems are illustrated above. Other models use a standard type mechanical steering lock (abbreviated here as "Std.
SL").

Programming Keyless Entry Key FOB Information

PROGRAMMING KEYLESS ENTRY KEY FOB INFORMATION

When programming Remote Keyless Entry fobs, refer to the appropriate Hyundai Shop Manual. A typical procedure is shown below for the 2011 Sonata
GLS (non-P/C) using the GDS: Specific instructions may vary according to model or model year.

NOTE:

Always consult the latest Hyundai Service publications as the maximum number of programmable fobs and procedures varies depending on the model.
Also note that some models, such as the MC Accent, code saving is done through "BCM" and not through "Transmitter Code" GDS selections.
