AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT
DESCRIPTION:
If you are servicing a Veracruz with an oil leak at the oil pump oil seal, follow the instructions shown.
1.
Remove the transaxle according to the instructions in the Veracruz Shop Manual and remove the torque converter.
2.
Remove the oil seal using the oil seal remover, P/N 09455-32200.
3.
Attach the spacer to the oil seal installer, P/N 09453-3J000.
NOTE:
The spacer is necessary to prevent contact with the oil pump when installing the oil seal.
NOTE:
The spacer was shipped to dealers on August 22, 2008
4.
Install the new oil seal using the oil seal installer, P/N 09453-3J000.
CAUTION:
Use a plastic hammer to prevent damage to the oil pump.
