XG300/350L INTEGRATED MEMORY SYSTEM (IMS) OPERATION
This bulletin updates TSB # 00-90-007 to include 2002 to current XG350L models.
DESCRIPTION:
The XG300/350L vehicles offer a 2-position Integrated Memory System (IMS). The IMS panel, located on the driver side door, controls the memories
for the driver side seat position and both outside rearview mirror angles. Two different driving position profiles and rearview mirror profiles can be
entered in the IMS. This bulletin explains the IMS functions and how to properly operate it.
The XG300/350L is equipped with a multiplexed system for communication between the front doors and the Electronic Timing and Alarm Control
System (ETACS). Vehicles with IMS have the IMS communication added to the multiplexed system. The multiplex communication lines (signal
carrying wires) carry window (up/down), mirror (in/out/up/down) and door lock information between the ETACS, the driver's door module, the
passenger door module and the IMS control module.
