Removal and Installation
RADIATOR CORE SUPPORT
Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Use a refrigerant collecting equipment to discharge the refrigerant. Refer to See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and
Repair/Procedures/Refrigerant.
2. Drain engine coolant from radiator. Refer to See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair/Draining.
3. Remove engine under cover. Refer to See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair/Floor Side Fairing/Removal and Installation.
4. Remove front grille. Refer to See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal and Installation.
5. Remove front bumper fascia, energy absorber, reinforcement. Refer to See: Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and Installation.
6. Remove mounting bolts of hood lock cover.
7. Disconnect harness clip and hood lock cable from hood lock cover.
8. Remove hood lock cover.
9. Remove front combination lamp (LH/RH). Refer to See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Service and Repair/Removal and Installation/Xenon Type
(XENON TYPE) or See: Lighting and Horns/Headlamp/Service and Repair/Removal and Installation/Halogen Type (HALOGEN TYPE).
10. Disconnect hood lock switch connector (A) from head lamp bracket (RH) (1).
11. Remove mounting bolts and remove hood lock bracket (2) (LH/RH).
12. Disconnect hood lock cable from hood lock (LH/RH).
13. Disassembly hood lock from hood lock bracket (LH/RH).
14. Disconnect all clamp of hood cable from radiator core support assembly.
15. Disconnect harness connector of refrigerant pressure sensor.
16. Disconnect harness connector of ambient sensor. Refer to See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch
HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal And Installation.
17. Remove air guide (LH).
18. Remove ICC sensor integrated unit (with intelligent cruse control model). Refer to See: Cruise Control/Cruise Control Module/Service and
Repair/Removal and Installation/ICC (Full Speed Range).
19. Remove horn (Hi/Lo). Refer to See: Lighting and Horns/Horn/Service and Repair.
20. Remove intelligent key warning buzzer. Refer to See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Service and Repair/Intelligent Key
Warning Buzzer/Removal and Installation.
21. Disconnect harness clamp from hood lock stay.
22. Remove mounting bolt and nut, and remove hood lock stay.
23. Remove washer tank. Refer to See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Windshield Washer Reservoir/Service and Repair/Removal and Installation.
24. Remove power steering oil cooler. Refer to (2WD) or See: Maintenance/Hoses/Power Steering Line/Hose/Service and Repair, "AWD : Exploded
View" (AWD).
25. Remove air guide (RH).
26. Remove mounting bolt of power steering oil cooler pipe bracket. Refer to
(2WD) or See: Maintenance/Hoses/Power Steering Line/Hose/Service and Repair (AWD).
27. Remove air cleaner box (LH/RH). Refer to See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner
Housing/Service and Repair/Removal and Installation.
28. Remove front under side cover (LH). Refer to See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair/Floor Side Fairing/Removal and Installation.
29. Remove radiator upper hose and lower hose at radiator side. Refer to See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal and Installation.
30. Remove mounting bolts of condenser assembly from radiator core support assembly. Refer to See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Condenser
HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal And Installation.
31. Disconnect AT fluid cooler hose (upper/lower) from fan shroud and remove AT fluid cooler hose (upper/lower) from radiator. Refer to See:
Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Transmission Cooler/Service and Repair/A/T Fluid Cooler Tube/Removal and
