7. Install the protector on the inside edge of the seat frame as shown in Figure 4 and 5.
^ The protector's rear edge is 0.2 inches (5 mm) further back from the rear edge of the oval hole (see Figure 4 and 5).
^ The protector lip goes underneath the seat frame edge, top side on top (see Figure 4 and 5).
8. Apply the felt tape as shown in Figure 6.
^ Measure 0.2 inches (5 mm) from the bottom of the seat frame (see Figure 6).
^ Align the felt tape's and protector's front edges (see Figure 6).
9. Reinstall the lumbar support switch.
^ Refer to the appropriate ESM as needed.
^ Make sure all seat harness connectors are connected securely.
10. Connect the battery cables, negative cable last.
11. Move the seat forward and backward as needed to install the four (4) seat mounting bolts.
^ Bolt torque: 49.0 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36 ft lbs)
