^ If damage found, go to Step 4.

^ If no damage found, this bulletin does not apply.

^ Refer to the appropriate ESM for further diagnosis.

4. Remove the lumbar support switch.

^ Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) as needed.

^ To get to the lumbar switch connector from under the seat, tilt the seat back.

5. With the lumbar seat switch removed, repair the incident wire.

^ For wire repair, use a solder sleeve connector and its service procedure in bulletin ITB03-054.

^ If the wire cannot be repaired, replace the lumbar support switch.

6. Properly clean the surface of the seat frame where the protector and felt tape is to be applied (see Figure 2 and 3).
