DOOR "REQUEST" SWITCH INOPERATIVE OR INTELLIGENT KEY ISSUES

IF YOU CONFIRM:

The Intelligent Key will start the vehicle's engine, but the following are inoperative:

The Intelligent Key lock/unlock buttons

Door handle lock/unlock buttons ("request" switches) Or

The Intelligent Key system has a "poor" range of operation, such as the following:

^

Intelligent Key door handle "request" switch does not work unless they move very close to the vehicle.

Intelligent Key does not work when pressing the driver's door "request" switch (lock/unlock) with the left hand when the Intelligent Key fob is
in his/her right pocket.

^

Intelligent Key door handle "request" switch operates intermittently

ACTIONS:

Replace the Intelligent Key (Smart Keyless) Control Unit with the new Intelligent Key Control Unit listed in the Parts Information section of this
bulletin.

NOTE:

If vehicle's engine does not start by using Intelligent Key, refer to ITB03-010 for Intelligent Key Troubleshooting Chart.
