Service Procedure

CAUTION:

Use appropriate covers to protect upholstery, carpet, trim, etc. when performing this procedure.

To avoid damage when removing trim clips, refer to ESM page EI 11-13 for removal information.

1.

Remove the headrest.

2.

Move the seat bottom FORWARD and remove the two rear seat anchor bolts.

3.

Then move the seat bottom REARWARD and remove the two front seat anchor bolts.

4.

Use the TILT UP switch to move the seat bottom to the lowest position.

5.

Turn the ignition key OFF.

6.

Disconnect both battery cables (negative cable first) and wait 3 minutes before proceeding with this procedure.

7.

Remove the Finisher Lid located at the front of the bottom seat cushion. Then disconnect the Side Airbag & Seat Control Unit connectors (see
Figure 1).
