Install new nuts/bolts that hold the Rear Propeller Shaft to the Transmission Output Companion Flange. Refer to "Procedure B".

Install new bolts that hold the Front Propeller Shaft to the Front Differential Companion Flange. Refer to Procedure C".

Procedure A

IMPORTANT:

Replace the bolts one at a time. Do NOT remove more than one bolt at a time.

1.

Remove four nuts and remove the Exhaust Heat Shield (see Figure 1).

2.

Replace each bolt (one at a time) that holds the Rear Propeller Shaft to the Rear Differential Companion Flange (see Figure 2).

3.

Tighten each new bolt to; 57 N-m (5.8 kg-m, 42 ft-lb).

4.

Re-install the Exhaust Heat Shield.

Procedure B (AWD Model ONLY)

IMPORTANT:

Replace the nuts/bolts one at a time. Do NOT remove more than one nut/bolt at a time.
