5. Push the TED back into the seat.

6. Reinstall the 2 screws.

7. Reinstall the seat backboard in reverse order.

Component Inspection

IMPORTANT:

Follow all cautions warnings and notes in the ESM when working on or near a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) such as an airbag.

NOTE:

Refer to component locations.

Thermal Electric Device (TED)

Seat Cushion

a. Disconnect TED connector.

Connector # B505 - driver side

Connector # B515 - passenger side

b. Measure TED resistance across pin 31 (blue wire) and pin 32 (yellow wire).

Acceptable resistance value: 1.3 - 1.8 ohms.

Resistance value given at room temperature, or about 25°C /77°F.
