Turn radio "OFF" to retract antenna rod. (If die antenna motor stops before the antenna has fully retracted, turn the radio "ON" and immediately
turn it "OFF" again). Guide the antenna rope and rod into antenna assembly.

5.

Reinstall the antenna nut and base. Check antenna operation by cycling radio "ON" and "OFF."

Precautions:

1.

Always turn the radio "OFF" whenever going through car washes or entering low ceiling parking garages (or low gamge doors) which may cause
the antenna rod to bend.

2.

The antenna rod should be cleaned periodically by wiping off any dirt buildup which may cause the antenna to bind.
