Brake Master Cylinder: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

1.

Connect tube to bleeder valve.

2.

Open bleeder valve, drain fluid by depressing brake pedal until master cylinder is empty.

3.

Remove brake line flare nuts, master cylinder attaching nuts, then master cylinder.

4.

Reverse procedure to install noting the following:
a. Torque master cylinder attaching nuts to 5.8-8.0 ft. lbs.
b. Torque flare nuts to 11-13 ft.lbs.
c. Bleed air from system, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM BLEED.
