SERVICE INFORMATION

If an incident of premature clutch wear, difficult shifting, or clutch cable noise occurs, a new clutch cable is available to resolve these conditions. This
cable has been installed during production on all vehicles built after May 7, 1993.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Inspect the cable for proper adjustment. If no adjustment is possible, inspect the clevis area on the transmission side of the clutch cable for a worn,
out of position, or missing inside rubber bushing.

2.

If the inside rubber bushing is worn, out of position, or missing, replace the cable using the part number listed below. The shape of the inside
rubber bushing and the clevis have been changed on the new cable.
