No Operation (Stuck or Stopped)

1.

Spray silicone (wet) into the run rubber channel and operate the window up and down several times.

2.

If the window operates normally, replace the run rubber and release the vehicle.

3.

If the window does not operate, remove the door trim.

4.

Remove the regulator and motor as an assembly from the door panel (see Figure 2). If the window is stuck in the closed (up) or very near the
closed position, it may be difficult to access the two window glass mounting bolts. To accomplish this:

A.

Remove the bolts that secure the regulator and motor to the door panel.

B.

Drop the regulator and motor down in the door panel as far as possible. This will allow the window to slide down approximately 2-3 inches.

C.

Use a 10 mm offset wrench (or equivalent tool) and remove the two window glass mounting bolts.

NOTE: 

It is not necessary to cut the regulator cable to remove the window components.

Inspect the regulator for damage. If no visual damage such as a frayed cable, any broken guides, channel or drum, reuse the existing regulator and
replace the motor. Also perform a functional check by holding the regulator channel and manually moving it up and down several times to see if
any binding occurs.

Reconnect the motor to the harness outside the door panel and inspect its operation. If the motor is noisy, slow or does not operate, replace the
motor and run rubber.

7.

If noise is still present, perform a regulator adjustment. See step 3 under Noisy/Chatter Operation.
