Service Procedure A
(Install Brake Light Switch Kit P/N 25320-AX027)

IMPORTANT:

Use suitable covers to protect upholstery, carpet, etc. when performing this service procedure.

Preliminary Steps 

1.

Write down all radio station presets.

2.

Coupe Model ONLY: Roll down both front windows. Reason: When the battery is disconnected (next step) the window will not automatically
adjust down slightly when you try to open the door. See Infiniti Technical Bulletin ITB02-055 for more details (if needed).

3.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Remove Driver's Side Instrument Lower Panel

4.

Remove the two screws that secure the Data Link Connector to the Panel (see Figure 2)

5.

Remove one screw at the lower left corner of the Panel (see Figure 2).

6.

Carefully pull back and down on the Panel to release the securing clips.

7.

Disconnect all wire harness connectors from the Panel. Also, disconnect the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) Wire Harness and Vent Hose
(see Figure 3).
