Cylinder Head Gasket: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

Cylinder Head Assembly Removed

REMOVAL

1. Remove engine assembly from vehicle.
2. Install engine assembly on engine stand (special service tool). 
3. Drain engine coolant and engine oil.
4. Remove the following components and related parts:

-

Intake manifold collector.

-

Fuel tube and fuel injector assembly. 

-

Intake manifold.

-

Exhaust manifold.

-

Ignition coil.

-

Rocker cover.

-

Water inlet and thermostat housing. 

-

Water outlet and water piping.  

-

Idler pulley

-

Oil pan (upper) and (lower) and oil strainer. 

-

Front timing chain case, timing chain and rear timing chain case.

-

Camshaft.
