Service Procedure

Seat Disassembly / Old Part Removal

1.

Remove the driver seat from the vehicle as follows:

a.

Write down radio pre-sets.

b.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

c.

Remove the headrest from the seat back.

d.

Adjust the seat slide position to about the middle of travel.

e.

Adjust the steering wheel tilt to the highest position.

f.

Refer to section SE in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for seat removal information.

WARNING:

Before removing the front seat make sure to:

Disconnect both battery cables (negative cable first) and

^

Wait for at least 3 minutes.

DO NOT drop, tilt or bump the side air bag module installed in the seat back. Always handle it with care.

g.

Place the seat in a clean working area.
