Description

Power window main switch detects condition of the door key cylinder switch and transmits to BCM as the
LOCK or UNLOCK signals.

DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect driver side door lock assembly connector.
3. Check voltage between driver side door lock assembly harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  -  GO TO 3.
NO  -  GO TO 2.
2.CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect power window main switch connector.
2. Check continuity between power window main switch harness connector and driver side door lock assembly harness connector.

3. Check continuity between power window main switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  -  Replace power window main switch. Refer to See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches - Windows and Glass/Power Window
Switch/Service and Repair.
NO  -  Repair or replace harness.
3.CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between driver side door lock assembly harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  -  GO TO 4.
NO  -  Repair or replace harness.
4.CHECK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH
Refer to See: Door Key Cylinder Switch/Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES  -  GO TO 5.
NO  -  Replace driver side door lock assembly. Refer to See: Service and Repair/Door Lock/Removal And Installation.
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
