Removal and Installation
WATER OUTLET AND WATER PIPING
Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Remove engine cover. Refer to See: Engine/Access Cover/Service and Repair/Exploded View.
2. Remove reservoir tank. Refer to See: Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Exploded View.
3. Remove oil level gauge and guide. See: Engine/Engine Lubrication/Oil Pan/Service and Repair/Oil Pan (Upper) and Oil Strainer/Exploded View
4. Remove air duct and air cleaner case assembly (RH and LH). Refer to See: Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner
Housing/Service and Repair/Exploded View.
5. Remove engine undercover with power tool.
6. Drain engine coolant from radiator drain plug at the bottom of radiator. Refer to See: Coolant/Service and Repair/Draining.
CAUTION:
-
Perform this step when the engine is cold.

Never spill engine coolant on drive belts.
7. Remove radiator hose (upper) and heater hose.
8. Separate engine harness removing their bracket from water outlet (rear).
9. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor if necessary.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage engine coolant temperature sensor.
10. Remove heater pipe, water bypass pipe and water outlet pipe.
11. Remove water outlet (rear) if necessary.
NOTE:
Removing engine assembly is required. See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Exploded View
INSTALLATION
Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.

Securely insert each hose, and install clamp at a position where it does not interfere with the pipe bulge.

When inserting water outlet pipe and water bypass pipe into water outlet, apply neutral detergent to O-ring.
CAUTION:
Never allow water outlet (rear) to nip O-rings when installing water outlet pipe and water bypass pipe.
