Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
WARNING:
Never remove radiator cap when engine is hot. Serious burns could occur from high-pressure engine coolant escaping from water inlet
(front). Wrap a thick cloth around the cap. Slowly turn it a quarter of a turn to release built-up pressure. Carefully remove radiator cap by
turning it all the way.
1. Remove the following parts:

Engine under cover with power tool.

Engine cover: Refer to See: Engine/Access Cover/Service and Repair/Exploded View.

Air cleaner case (RH and LH): Refer to See: Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Exploded
View.

Reservoir tank: Refer to See: Exploded View.

Radiator core support ornament, radiator core support center: Refer to See: Body and Frame/Radiator Support/Service and Repair/Exploded View.

Horn: Refer to See: Lighting and Horns/Horn/Service and Repair/Exploded View.

Hood lock: Refer to See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Hood/Hood Latch/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Exploded
View.
2. Remove condenser pipe assembly. Refer to See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Hose/Line HVAC/Service and Repair/Exploded View.
3. Drain engine coolant from radiator. Refer to See: Coolant/Service and Repair/Draining.
CAUTION:
-
Perform this step when the engine is cold.

Never spill engine coolant on drive belt.
4. Disconnect A/T fluid cooler hoses from radiator. (A/T models)

Install blind plug to avoid leakage of A/T fluid.
5. Remove radiator hoses (upper and lower) and reservoir tank hose.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to allow engine coolant to contact drive belt.
6. Remove cooling fan assembly. Refer to See: Radiator Cooling Fan/Service and Repair/Exploded View.
CAUTION:
Never damage or scratch radiator & condenser assembly core when removing.
