4. Check continuity between automatic drive positioner control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Replace automatic drive positioner control unit. Refer to See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Memory Positioning Systems/Memory
Positioning Module/Service and Repair/Driver Seat Control Unit/Removal and Installation.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
3.CHECK TELESCOPIC SWITCH
Refer to See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Memory Positioning Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General
Diagnostics/Telescopic Switch/Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Replace tilt & telescopic switch. Refer to See: Power Adjustable Steering Column Switch/Service and Repair.
4.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Intermittent Incident.

Component Inspection

1.CHECK TELESCOPIC SWITCH
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect tilt & telescopic switch connector.
3. Check continuity between tilt & telescopic switch terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES - INSPECTION END
NO - Replace tilt & telescopic switch. Refer to See: Power Adjustable Steering Column Switch/Service and Repair.
