Telescoping Wheel Switch: Testing and Inspection
Tilt and Telescopic Switch Ground Circuit

TILT &TELESCOPIC SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK POWER TILT & TELESCOPIC SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect power tilt & telescopic switch connector.
3. Check continuity between power seat switch connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair or replace harness.
2.CHECK POWER TILT & TELESCOPIC SWITCH INTERNAL CIRCUIT
Check tilt switch. Refer to See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Memory Positioning Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and
General Diagnostics/Tilt Switch/Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Replace tilt & telescopic switch. Refer to See: Power Adjustable Steering Column Switch/Service and Repair.
3.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Intermittent Incident.
