INTRODUCTION
Some 1997 I30 sedans may have power steering hose clamps that were not properly tightened at the time of production. To ensure customer satisfaction
and prevent any future inconvenience, Infiniti has initiated a Voluntary Service Campaign to inspect and adjust a power steering hose clamp. The service
department will also add power steering fluid to the vehicle if required.
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number P8145 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature
dealing with this Campaign.

RETAILER RESPONSIBILITY
It is a retailer responsibility to check the service history of each vehicle falling within the range of this service campaign which for any reason enters the
service department. This includes vehicles purchased from your dealership, other Infiniti dealerships, private parties, or vehicles presented by transient
(tourist) owners and vehicles in dealer inventory.
A campaign status report (sent under separate cover) will assist you in the identification of those vehicles involved in this service campaign. Each
dealership service department is encouraged to contact these vehicle owners to have the required inspections and repairs completed on their vehicle.
SPECIAL CLIENT ASSISTANCE
Maintaining a strong client relationship throughout the Power Steering Hose Clamp Campaign is one of the key goals of Infiniti. When scheduling a
client appointment to have this voluntary service campaign completed, a service loan car should be provided to minimize any inconveniences that the
client may encounter. Each and every action taken by Infiniti and the servicing retailer will have a significant impact in retaining current I30 owners as
future clients.
