INTRODUCTION

Some 1997 I30 sedans may have detective transaxle solenoid valve assemblies. To ensure customer satisfaction and prevent the potential future failure of
the transaxle assembly, Infiniti has initiated a Voluntary Service Campaign to replace the transaxle solenoid valve assembly. The service department will
also conduct specific tests to evaluate the operating performance of the transaxle assembly.

IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

Infiniti has assigned identification number P8122 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature
dealing with this campaign.

NUMBER OF VEHICLES POTENTIALLY AFFECTED

The total number of vehicles potentially affected is 2,150.

RETAILER RESPONSIBILITY

It is a retailer responsibility to check the service history of each vehicle falling within the range of this service campaign which for any reason enters the
service department. This includes vehicles purchased from your dealership, other Infiniti dealerships, private parties, or vehicles presented by transient
(tourist) owners and vehicles in dealer inventory.

A campaign status report (sent under separate cover) will assist you in the identification of those vehicles involved in this service campaign. Each
dealership service department is encouraged to contact these vehicle owners to have the required inspections and repairs completed on their vehicle.
