1996-97 I30 MIL ON; DTC P0450, P0443 OR P0446 STORED DUE TO THE EVAP SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR

APPLIED VEHICLE(S):
1996 I30 (CA32) California only 
All 1997 I30 (CA32)

SERVICE INFORMATION

If an I30 has a MIL "on" condition and DTC P0450 (EVAP system pressure sensor), P0443 (EVAP purge control valve & solenoid valve) or P0446
(EVAP vent control valve) stored, the cause may be the EVAP system pressure sensor.

There is a countermeasure sensor available to resolve this incident.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Use the Trouble Diagnosis For DTC P0450 in the service manual EC section to test the EVAP system pressure sensor and circuit.

2.

Replace the sensor if necessary with the countermeasure part from the table.
