1. Remove wheel bearing locknut Fig. 2.
2. Separate driveshaft from axle housing by lightly tapping it. If removal is difficult, use a suitable puller. When removing driveshaft, cover boots

with towels to prevent them from being damaged.

3. Remove brake caliper assembly and rotor. Do not disconnect brake line from caliper. Ensure not to depress brake pedal or piston will pop out.
4. Remove axle housing, then disconnect ball joint with ball joint remover tool No. HT72520000, or equivalent. Do not remove nut completely while

using tool.

5. Install axle housing with wheel hub, tighten wheel bearing locknut to specification.
6. Check wheel bearing axial endplay. Endplay should be 0.0020 inch or less.
7. Ensure wheel bearing operates properly. Check toe-in.
