CLAIMS INFORMATION

Submit a Primary Operation (P0) line claim using the claims coding table.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Pedal Stroke

Operate parking brake pedal with a force of 196 N (20 kg, 44 lb), make sure pedal stroke is within the specified number of notches. (Check it
by listening and counting ratchet clicks.)

Pedal stroke: 3 notches ONLY

To measure the force applied to the pedal use available tool J-28662 Brake Pedal effort gauge. This tool can be ordered from TECH-MATE at
1-800-662-2001.

ADJUSTMENT

To perform adjustment operations remove rear wheels from vehicle with power tool.

1.

Insert a deep socket wrench onto adjusting nut.

a.

Rotate cable adjusting nut counterclockwise to fully loosen cable. Don't take the nut all the way off the cable.

CAUTION:

If you accidentally removed the adjusting nut, don't reuse it. It's a self locking type of nut.

After loosening the nut release parking brake pedal. (See Figure 2)

Secure disc rotor to hub using a wheel nut so the disc rotor won't tilt.
