A malfunction message will be displayed on the CONSULT-II screen,

A copy of the screen will automatically be printed.

CAUTION:

If any of the messages shown are displayed/printed reprogramming must be performed again.*

1.

Turn the ignition OFF and CONSULT-II OFF.

2.

* Make sure CONSULT-II and the ignition are OFF for more than 10 seconds before continuing.*

3.

Perform the complete procedure in this TSB again; starting at Part 1. Perform all steps in all sections exactly as instructed.

The exact cause of the error messages is not known; therefore you must perform the entire procedure again. This includes the following:

Downloading the special Y50 ICC reprogramming data from ASIST onto the 8MB (orange) reprogramming card.

* Make sure all DTCs are repaired and erased from all CONSULT-II compatible systems.

^

Make sure all connections of the ICC reprogramming cable CONSULT-II DLC cables and CONSULT-II Converter cables are tight.

^

Make sure the battery charger is connected and charging at the correct charge rate.
