BLIND SPOT WARNING / BLIND SPOT INTERVENTION ACTIVATION AT PDI

This bulletin has been amended. The APPLIED VEHICLES section has been revised and additional photos have been applied to the Service Procedure.

SERVICE INFORMATION

^ As an option:

>

2011 QX56 vehicles may be equipped with the Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system.

>

2011 M37/M56 vehicles may be equipped with the Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and Blind Spot Intervention (BSI) systems.

^ Vehicles equipped with the BSW / BSW & BSI system(s) are shipped from the factory with the system(s) inactive (non functional).

^ If equipped, the BSW / BSW & BSI system(s) must be activated at PDI.

^ Use the procedure in this bulletin to activate the BSW / BSW & BSI system(s) during the PDI procedure.

^ The Flat Rate Time for 2011 M37/M56 and 2011 QX56 PDI includes time for performing the BSW / BSW & BSI activation. The BSW / BSW & BSI

initial activation is not a warrantable expense.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF (not running).

2. Turn ON the right side turn signal.

3. Wait for the BSW / BSW & BSI indicator light to start flashing.

^ The indicator light should start flashing approximately seven (7) seconds after turning ON the ignition.

4. Push the Warning System Switch six (6) times.
