2002 Q45; REAR TRUNK LID HARD TO CLOSE

APPLIED VEHICLE: 
2002 Q45 (F50)

SERVICE INFORMATION

If an Applied Model exhibits the following symptoms:

^

trunk lid is hard to close

^

closure seems more difficult if the lid is not pulled or pushed down straight (i.e. from the side, rather than the center of the lid)

The vehicle may be repairable by replacing the lock, striker and lock support with new parts specified in the Parts Information section of this bulletin.

Use the Service Procedure in this bulletin, if the incident should occur.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Confirm the incident.

2.

Install the new lock, striker, and lock support. Refer to the 2002 Service Manual, pages BL-95 and 96 for removal/installation and adjustment
procedure.

3.

Open and close the trunk lid to ensure it closes properly.
